Center Parcs announces the growth of its Conference & Events division, with the promotion of Cat Bird, National Sales Manager, who leads the three-strong team comprising the newly appointed Regional Sales Manager, Natasha Stone, and returning Regional Sales Manager, Hermione Gingell.

Promoted from Regional Sales Manager this spring, Cat shares her experience as a Center Parcs employee: “Center Parcs has an amazing culture that makes it effortless to perform well, you are nurtured and motivated within your role, so I’ve been lucky to enjoy natural growth and progression here.”

Describing her promotion, “I was really ready to manage a team; I had worked as an Account Manager for seven years, where you’re naturally a bit of a lone ranger, always chasing the sales and out on the road. The promotion was the next clear step, a chance to guide a team, and impart some wisdom and experience with others.”

Looking back to her joining in December 2018, Cat tells us how she heard about the job at Center Parcs: “While I was in a role I loved, where I was able to benefit from some fantastic training programmes, I was at a point in my career where I wanted to progress into a managerial position. When I saw the Regional Sales role advertised, it was a no-brainer. It was a brand I’d always had on my radar, and as a family we’d spent many happy holidays there. Throughout the whole interview process, and starting at Center Parcs, there was no question if it was the right job for me.”

With Center Parcs’ conference and events facilities open for bookings from this month (Sept 2022), following a period of closure due to the pandemic and a £2.5m refurbishment of Woburn Forest, Cat and the team have had a busy few months in the run up to launch… “It’s been amazing to see a resurgence in enquiries since we started taking bookings in June. I’m so excited by what the future holds, not just for us but the industry too, as technology and sustainability take on a new level of importance, which we’re pleased to be able to fulfil for our clients.” Cat concludes.

Cat now reports to the Sales & Commercial Manager, a role taken on by Julia Green, who joined in April. Julia provides strategic direction for the team and brings with her over 20 years of MICE experience, including her time at Drayton Manor Resort and priceless agency experience gained at Conference Care Limited.
