Brella has been named Best Conference Technology and Best Event Networking Technology at the 2018 Event Technology Awards. Only established in 2016, Brella has quickly grown into a leading standard of event networking, partnering with events like TechCrunch Disrupt and clients like Google, Samsung and AT&T.

“Winning both best conference tech and best event networking tech is a huge honour for us,” co-founder and CEO Markus Kauppinen says. “It validates what we’ve believed all along – that by focusing on the attendee experience, you can create a great networking experience.”

Brella serves as both a matchmaking tool and a meeting scheduler. Attendees register for Brella with a link sent by the organizer, then they create their profile from a list of interests specific to each event. After choosing their skills and desires, they are given a list of matches.

Meeting booking is as easy as joining. Simply select a profile and a time that’s available for both, then send a meeting request. It’s a no-nonsense way to schedule meetings with the best contacts for the event day, saving time for both attendees and organisers.

“We pride ourselves on our intuitive design so attendees can navigate the platform easily. A bad event tech experience reflects on the whole event experience, and that’s unacceptable to us,” Kauppinen continues.

What’s next for Brella? Their goal is to facilitate 100M business interactions before 2020.
