One hundred and twenty thousand people went through the gates for the inaugural TRNSMT, three days/ evenings on Glasgow Green, last summer. Great feedback too. Brute facts that highlight the expertise of the organiser, DF Concerts & Events, and shine a light at the officious minority that conspired to kick its acclaimed precursor, T in the Park, out of Balado and ultimately into the long grass.

Expanded to two weekends this year, Stereophonics, Liam Gallagher, Arctic Monkeys, Queen & Adam Lambert and The Killers in the headline slots, and a stellar supporting cast, EIN tuned into TRNSMT’s preparation plans; talking past, present and profile with DF CEO Geoff Ellis.

Did TRSNMT 2017 exceed your expectation?

We knew from the start that TRNSMT was going to be a fantastic event, but we were over the moon with how well it was received. We brought Radiohead, Belle and Sebastian, Kasabian, Biffy Clyro, The 1975, Stormzy and Rag n Bone Man -and many more – to an audience of like-minded music fans who were incredible. They came from local, national and international destinations and we even had the sunshine down on us. It was everything we wanted it to be.
