The Association of Event Venues has announced that Amir Vered, head of eForce and IT at Olympia London, has been appointed the new chair of the cross-association Technology Working Group. Emma Bogan, lead business relationship manager at NEC Group, will be the new vice-chair, and Vered and Bogan will swap roles after 12 months.

Vered accepted the role, saying, “I am excited to share the Technology Working Group Chair duties with Emma Bogan from the NEC. Emma and I both believe strongly in sharing key learning to benefit the whole industry and, together, I believe we will be able to enhance an already great committee to help make sense of fast-paced technological change on the industry’s behalf.”

Rachel Parker, AEV director, welcomed Vered and Bogan to their roles, saying, “I’m tremendously grateful to Murray Dickson of NEC Group for his service as chair, his expertise and acuity have been great assets to the group. It’s a pleasure to welcome Amir and Emma to their roles, and I’m confident that their varied experience and understanding of the interfaces between events and technology will serve the group extremely well.”
