Academic Venue Solutions (AVS), the UK consortium dedicated to academic venues, has partnered with the Association of British Professional Conference Organisers (ABPCO), the UK’s leading Professional body for Association and Not-for-Profit Event Organisation.

AVS is looking forward to promoting the value of academic venues to ABPCO’s audience, offering their members the opportunity to host ABPCO events at some of the UK’s leading academic institutions.

With over 50 venues within AVS, the opportunity to be part of a body that is influencing industry change and legislation with ABPCO’s Business Visits and Events Partnership (BVEP) is immense. In addition, it gives AVS access to the ABPCO promotional vehicle where its news stories will be promoted through ABPCO’s social media platforms and monthly newsletter to its membership.

Sales and membership director, Rachel Bartlett, commented on the partnership between the two organisations: “We are very excited to be part of this group to provide our members the opportunity to be part of an industry body that is influencing industry change and legislation with ABPCO’s Business Visits and Events Partnership (BVEP) along with opportunities to showcase our exceptional academic venues to a new conference and event audience.”

Heather Lishman, association director, ABPCO, who welcomed AVS into membership commented: “ABPCO is delighted that Academic Venue Solutions have joined as Partner members. It is important for our professional conference organisers to use environments that support learning and interaction. The academic venues offer these distraction-free environments, with first class facilities and dedicated support. Knowing that the venue offering is seamless means that the organisers can concentrate on other aspects of engagement and impact. We look forward to showcasing some of the portfolio to our members at future events.”
