Science Museum London shortlisted in 2 categories for the London Venue Awards

Illuminate is a new two-level space boasting unrivalled panoramic views across London, situated on levels four and five of the Science Museum in South Kensington. The venue has been shortlisted for two categories in the London Venue Awards; ‘Best New or Refurbished Venue’ and ‘Best Venue with a View’.

Responding to the ever-increasing demand for a dedicated, high capacity daytime space, Illuminate is a multi-functional events and conference venue accommodating almost any type of event including daytime conferences, product launches, exhibitions and awards dinners.

The space is available for daytime and evening hire for 400 people for dinners/conferences and 450 for receptions. The directional design of the multi-level space reflects the concept behind Illuminate’s brand identity; level five features a panoramic window which offers stunning views and is juxtaposed with level four’s blackout space, ideal for large scale productions.

As part of the world’s leading group of science museums, The Science Museum in Kensington attracts over 3m visitors annually to view its unparalleled collection spanning science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine. Alongside Illuminate, the museum offers 12 galleries, IMAX Theatre and Smith Centre, providing a truly unique backdrop for events and tailored approach to creating stand-out events – from spectacular production to innovative catering and striking theming. All profits generated from events are put back into the work of the museum to achieve the Science Museum’s overarching goal of inspiring futures for generations to come.
