Warmly welcomed to the Conference and Future stage at last year’s Event Tech Live were Adam Simpson, head of group sales at etc.venues, and Mark Cooper, CEO at IACC.

Adam and Mark collaborated in a discussion on how meetings venues may be transformed over the coming years. Drawing upon their experience, research and personal opinions during their discussion, the two experts laid out their predictions. They also engaged the audience in live polls to gauge how other event professionals expect the venue industry to change.

Adam considered trends that may affect venues’ designs, locations, space allocations and technology. Changes in tech, social attitudes, generations and politics can all alter the way we host meetings and our expectations of the venues.

Mark’s drew upon research conducted by IACC which combined the perspectives of meeting planners and venue operators to build a vision of the future of the meetings sector.

As an operator of 15 venues across the UK, etc.venues holds a position to gather opinions, research and trends from meetings every day. Adam used this collated feedback to illustrate to the audience why venues may be changing and how.

Event Tech Live, Europe’s only free-to-attend show dedicated to event technology will return to the Old Truman Brewery on 6th-7thNovember 2019. To register for updates, please see here.
