The Museum of London, based near the Barbican and St Paul’s, tells the story of the capital from its first settlers right through to modern times. Opened in 1976, the galleries vividly tell the story of the city and its people, and with over 6,000,000 objects in their collection, it hold the largest archaeological archives in the world. Whether you require a conference room for 230 delegates with break out spaces, a spectacular venue for evening events or are looking for a truly memorable setting to exchange your vows, the museum has a unique space for any occasion. With astounding spaces such as the 17th century Pleasure Gardens, Garden Rooms, People’s City gallery and the London Ellipse Hall – home to the spectacular 48-metre LED ellipse, the museum is the perfect venue for party sizes of 10-1000 people.

The Museum of London Docklands is a historical venue set against the backdrop of the futuristic Canary Wharf. Built in 1802, the Grade I Georgian warehouse charts the history of the London docks. Here, contemporary fittings feature alongside original Caribbean pitch pine columns and floors, offering a unique setting for meetings, conferences, product launches and weddings. The Museum of London Docklands is home to a series of incredible gallery spaces, including the newly-refurbished Wilberforce Room, a flexible space with capacity for up to 273 seated guests and state of the art audio-visual technology. With exposed brick walls and original pitch pine columns, the Muscovado Hall is a striking space, accommodating up to 200 seated guests, and with morning availability between 7-9.30am, it is a show-stopping venue for a breakfast event. For events, Docklands also has its own dedicated events space – with a private entrance and access to the outdoor terrace, the Rum Store is perfect for a range of evening receptions, with seated dinners for up to 100 guests. Object handling and actors can be included in event hire to create a fully immersive event, guaranteed to be remembered for years to come!
