Chill & Charge, the ITM Mobile/Potential Group joint venture, will be back at International Confex this week, supplying the Olympia site with a hot spot charging zone sponsored by US software giant Centium Events AIR.

There are already 90 mobile phone models on the market with wireless charging capabilities, plenty of Confex visitors are early adopters, so the Chill & Charge Zone will feature Bistro Touchdown Tables, which offer Qi charging. The tables are battery powered, helping avoid additional electricity supply costs. There will be plenty of charging options for the older school too, together with traditional, secure, ‘connect-it-and-leave-it’ lockers.

In addition, Chill & Charge will run a competition across the two days with the opportunity for a venue or live event to win a free rental of a charging table or two.

“This is the third year we have been involved with International Confex but the first time we’ve provided a full charging zone,” says Richard Derham of Chill & Charge.

Seventeen years into the 21st century, people spend time watching their phones charge, waiting for messages, social media updates, calls or updates. So it’s a very productive networking hub and a sponsorship opportunity for exhibitions, events and venues of all sizes.

“We can track usage, in GDPR compliant manner, and provide sponsors with detail of user patterns. Our kiosks have a 10-inch screen on the front to display corporate video and all of our equipment offers branding opportunities.” Derham says.

Chill & Charge is a feature at major sporting events, including the Open Championship and the Rugby World Cup, as well as corporate events, venues and experiential activations. The company works with organisers and sponsors to ensure optimum brand exposure and customer satisfaction.
